Xanja is german for tired dog

It's been a park filled weekend. For the curious few, we did go again last night and today we were there for about 5 hours. It's nice to be outside and watching her play and swim and just run all over the place. Some people might think it is boring but I find it much more enjoyable to be walking in the woods with her and throwing sticks than to watch tv all day. There isn't too much to say, we are both pretty warn out and it's time to get her dinner ready. We've got a new best friend but I won't put his info up until tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for HSBC to have a > 4.5% APY tomorrow (my guess is they won't).

Blog blog blog blog bloggity blog blog blog

Wow it's been a really long time. For those of you who can't function without reading this, you can function again. But I know that so few people read this so I'm not too concerned. Xanja found a new boyfriend this week at the park. His name is Charlie and he's a 2 year old lab. She chases him when he chases his ball and just sticks by him all the time. It can be a little bit frustrating at times. Oakland drafted a safety in the first round, not a QB like I was hoping. Oh well, I wasn't expecting them to do much this year anyway. It's almost time for me to get a new phone from Verizon so I'm taking suggestions. If you want to help out go to verizonwireless.com and then let me know which phone you think I should get. I'll say that my top two right now are the nokia candy bar which is black (or gray) and the blackberry. Yeah, the blackberry, it's a nice size and doesn't have a camera which I'd prefer not to have. I wouldn't get the data service and I don't know if I want to pay for a phone but those are the leaders. I am getting really sick of the new heineken light commercials. Speaking of commercials I saw a commercial last night that was filmed on Bedford Ave. which is in Brooklyn and somewhere that I am often. So if you see a Truth commercial and you see in it Brooklyn Industries that's the one and I've been everywhere that they have. Why they didn't ask me to do the commercial I'm still not sure. I don't really have anything funny or witty to say because I always forget that stuff. I did think of an idea for a new business. I figure that UPS/FedEx waste so much time and money trying to deliver to private addresses when no one is home. So if I could come up with some sort of system that lives in the middle between the retailer and the delivery service. Something where the retailers says you should get this item this week and you can put the times you'll be around. And you can specify good/bad days. Then the delivery service won't waste their time guessing but only trying on the days you say are good. Is it a good idea? Of course, I came up with it. It's not airtight yet but it could be pretty helpful. Detroit is not on tv and they are down 3-1, Xanja is tired but I kind of want to go to the park. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. You'll just have to wonder.

How many degrees from Kevin Bacon is my fist?

Kevin Bacon has some nerve to ask for tickets to a show and then go to the wrong theater and blame it on the person who told him all the right information. Then after realizing he's wrong no to say he is sorry (or even that he's wrong.) So in the off chance you are reading this Kevin, or anyone who is 4 or less degrees from you, you should learn some manners. On another note I got an offer to subscrive to Men's Vogue, like that's gonna happen. I think the little teapot is learning, she's coming when called a lot better than she used to, but she thinks when we come home getting dried off is a game. It's kinda fun though and luckily she hasn't put any holes in them yet. Speaking of teapots it's time for dinner. (for both of us).

That letter between r and y (or for normal people s and u).

Lately everything has been about tea and pots. I have been looking to buy a new one and Xanja has a new nickname, Teapot or little Teapot. (The little part is for lots of reasons but little just goes good with any Xanja nickname except for Crazy Pants Johnson. I guess she could be little Crazy Pants Johnson but that's just too long. So no little there. Anyway, one enquiring mind may want to know why (well two but that's because one will tell the other). A couple of people have tried to make Xanja shake their hand when they've come over, something she wasn't really ever taught to do. So she didn't. I decided that we'd give her some manners lessons (in addition to the other work we've been doing) and she learned how to shake. This weekend, I was making her shake and then I realized I could make her do most of the teapot dance. So she was singing with my voice, I'm a little teapot short and stout and doing the motions. Thus the nickname little Teapot (or just Teapot). If I had the time and energy I'd make her do all the motions witout me holding on to her but I don't think I have the time or energy to train her to do that, but it would be cute. Plus, does she really deserve to learn that today. She chased after a bunch of deer and I saw 4 white tails bounce away, one was hers. Then I heard stuff which I thought was her coming back but it was a fawn, then she came back. She came back pretty quick and it was still light out. You typically can't say you ever saw a Teapot chase deer but I have.
