A new best friend has arrived

Here she is, Spumoni. I figured a cute dog with a name like that just kinda fits right now even though I'm already out of Spumoni. It's staying lighter later and Xanja is loving going to the park every day. I'm tempted to buy an egg shell remover becuase I'm starting to get rough skin on my thumb and often I am cutting it from peeling all the eggs. The things I go through for Crazy Pants. Just got a new cookbook, I am a bit embarassed to say it is a Rachael Ray cookbook but I couldn't resist 365 30 minute meals, that's kinda just what I need. Crazy Pants Johnson is doing fine, although her ear still looks a little redish. Her throat seems fine after the stick poking incident but we've been playing with tennis balls a bit more lately. Speaking of, it's time to play with her.

Stupid teeth

I can't believe I broke part of my new tooth already. It was stupid too, just trying to open a bag. Now I have to call the dentist and she if she can fix it and who knows how much it is going to cost. In the meantime I have to keep myself from playing with it with my tongue. I've got a gap between my teeth now, it's real attractive. On a more positive note Xanja seems to be doing very well with recall in the house. Once it's warm we can move it outside and get her better and better. A situation like this could only be remedied by one thing, spumoni.

Miss Modular

Some things never change, like the answering machine message on my parent's phone. That message is probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 years old. It definitely dates back to the old house and when Matt was in high school. Just goes to show. Anyway, NYC was good but windy and cold. Stereolab was awesome, not that I expected anything less. I ate lots of pizza which is a good thing because it's hard to find really good pizza around here. The Empire State Building was lit green for St. Patrick's Day. It would have been nice to have a tripod to take a picture of that, the cell phone picture just isn't the same. I didn't realize they sold Spumoni at the grocery store and since ice cream was buy one get one I decided to get it. It's good but I think I like it better in smaller doses. It does leave the most wonderful looking brownish disgusting color when it's melty though. I think it's supposed to be cold all week and possibly rainy/snowy. Earth to Earth it's spring time, oh yeah and global warming called and was asking why you weren't answering in New England. Give me a month or too, then I'll stop complaining about the cold and start complaining about the humidity. Here's my entry for the new state motto, MA where you get the best of the worst.

You don't win friends with salad

What a great episode of the Simpsons that was, so many classic lines and the you don't win friends with salad conga line will go with me to every bbbq, where the extra b is for byob. Anyway, Xanja has an ear infection which was real hard to spot seeing as how she is 30% ears. My webinar is out on the web for all to view, but you'll probably have to sign up with The MathWorks to do it. It really isn't anything special, just my voice over a powerpoint presentation about new features. I didn't create these slides but soon I will be making webinars from scratch. Should be an interesting weekend. A bunch of crazy people in NYC for St. Patrick's day, my brother included, a sick girlfriend and a Stereolab concert. It'll probably be one of those weekends were I don't spend any money, oh wait. There was a dead possum in the middle of the road today and not surprisingly it reminded me of the Phish song about someone hitting a possum. Pretty much nothing new at all going on here except it just seems to be getting colder and colder which makes for no fun for me and CPJ. What a boring boring post this is, I mean not even an ounce of wit to lighten things up. Stay tuned... maybe something interesting will happen.

Press any key. Where's the any key?

So I was trying to get connected to my wirless network and was playing around with the utility that came with the card. Apparently, if you don't want it running anymore you are supposed to choose Eixt. Pretty awesome. I've got 600 poop bags in the mail, how many of you can say that? There really isn't too much to say, nothing has really happened since yesterday. Xanja did eat the entire plate of treats I made last night, my fault but still she shouldn't have done it. Better that than garbage. Yup this post has driven me to my wits end (get it?). One last thing, try this cool keystroke when you're done reading this, alt+f4.

Day after April Fools Day Fools

So I don't know if it's true or not but apparently we spring forward on the day after April Fools Day. That may not be exciting to you but to me that means more daylight more park less boredom for CPJ. I've been seeing a lot of the faux hawk on tv and it reminded me of Alan Smith and winning 11. He ruled in that game. Anyway, I'm glad I didn't stick with the faux hawk because well everyone has it. Xanja got some new treats today, peanut butter and oats, they seem to be cooling nicely and they might be the best new treat for her, except maybe the chicken jerky. Anyway, not much left to say but lime green shoes will get you anywhere. (get it?)

Crazy Pants Johnson rides again!

Twenty six. That's how many years ago the Earth stood still for a moment at 6:59 am Mountain time to be precise. The regular calendar says the year starts on Jan 1, the Chinese have a different calendar and so do I. I've decided that I will now not only consider March 4 to be my birthday but it is also New Year's. Why not? My new year officially starts then so that's the plan. Huge countdown from to 6:59 am Mountain and no rolling nonsense like with Jan 1, it shall forever be based on Mountain time. So what if it's later in Europe, I wasn't born there. Anyway, it was a good weekend. I did miss out on the pancake breakfast because Mandi didn't come until Saturday morning but Xanja got a lot of good park time. I didn't really do anything special for my birthday and that's ok by me. I spent yesterday at the banya and then looking at American Apparel clothing. It'll look good with a dog head. Made some really bad mac and cheese, it didn't taste all that bad but it just didn't turn out right. It'd be really embarrasing if it was Kraft that I screwed up, but it wasn't. I reaffirmed that I hate awards shows. I'm not a huge celebrity person to begin with, which is ironic but awards shows aren't for me. Needless to say, . (no I didn't forget to finish the sentence, it's called wit). I think this is turning into a long boring pile of garbage. I like the 5 blade razor, the Onion was so right about it. Coming soon to the webinar scene, my voice. The voice drops in March check it out. This post was brought to you by the letters x and j and the numbers 2 and 6.
